About the Journal

The European Journal of Geography is a peer-reviewed open access journal and, as of 2025, follows a continuous publication model with one regular annual issue. The regular issue remains open throughout the calendar year, and articles are published online as soon as they have successfully completed peer review, editorial processing, and production. Each published article receives a unique DOI and is assigned to the regular issue of the corresponding year. “Special Issues” are published occasionally and are accommodated within the annual numbering scheme, receiving the next available issue number for that year.

Scholars are invited to make submissions in their area of expertise. All submissions received are double blind peer-reviewed by experts in the fields covered by the articles submitted. Articles and book reviews are published under the CC BY 4.0 license.

All contributions should conform to the Instructions for Authors and submitted electronically. The content of this journal does not necessarily represent the views or policies of EUROGEO except where explicitly identified as such.
